Central European Exchange Program for University Studies (CEEPUS) is an academic exchange programme for Central and Southeastern Europe, which provides scholarships to students and teaching staff for credit mobility, shorter stays, teaching activities and summer schools at large number of universities from Austria, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Moldova, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Croatia, Northern Macedonia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Serbia. The exchange is mostly done within CEEPUS networks of departments from the same academic field, but there are also possibilities for free-mover mobility.

Application

Please note that the application for CEEPUS is done through the CEEPUS online system. International students who wish to apply for CEEPUS mobility at the University of Arts in Belgrade are advised to contact the CEEPUS local contact person at their department/ faculty/ university or National CEEPUS Office in their home country for information.

Information package for CEEPUS scholarship holders

The University of Arts is involved in Erasmus + Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals which supports the international exchange of students, academics, ideas and good practice between Higher Education Institutions. Students can study or carry out the traineeship abroad for a minimum of 2 months and up to a maximum of 12 months and may benefit from an Erasmus+ grant to help with living costs. Staff can spend up to 2 months teaching and/or training abroad, and may also benefit from a grant.

E-mail nominations from our partner universities should be received no later than 1^st May for the Autumn semester and 1^st October for the Spring semester.

The application deadlines are:

15^th May for October entry
15^th October for February entry

Once nominated by your university, you will receive an e-mail invitation to complete your application by submitting the supporting documents:

Online Learning Agreement (OLA), or Learning Agreement (only if your sending institution does not use OLA)
Transcript of Records
CV
Portfolio (required only if you are applying to practice-based courses)*
English language certificate (or confirmation issued by your home institution)
Copy of your passport

*Please note: Your portfolio should contain a focused selection of your work in no more than 5-10 pages.

Although not usually required, you may want to follow up the email with hard copies of your portfolio (or other documents). When submitting copies by mail, use the following address: International Office, University of Arts in Belgrade, Kosančićev venac 29, Belgrade 11000, Serbia.

SELECTING COURSES

Use our Course Catalogue to list courses and credit load in your application but also keep in mind that availability for some places is limited, so you may need additional guidance on choosing courses provided by the Academic Coordinator at your chosen faculty. You will have two weeks after your arrival and official registration to change your course choices.
When choosing courses you should follow objective criteria for incoming students: your field and level of study should be equivalent to the field and the level requested at the University of Arts in Belgrade.

(ONLINE) LEARNING AGREEMENT

Your study plan in the form of (Online) Learning Agreement must be approved by your home university and signed by all three parties (yourself, home university, University of Arts in Belgrade) before departure. Once at the University of Arts, you might be able to make changes to your (Online) Learning Agreement if they are agreed by us and by your home institution. All changes to your (Online) Learning Agreement will also have to be signed by the three parties involved.
Erasmus+ students should use Online Learning Agreement (OLA) template, unless the home university is not connected to the OLA platform, in which case the old template applicable to Erasmus+ mobility for studies should be used.
Bilateral exchange students should ask for a template of the Learning Agreement at their home university or, alternatively, use our template.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum English language entry level for incoming students should correspond to the B1-B2 level of CEFR. Applicants are asked to submit a certificate of their English level in the form of a TOEFL/IELTS/Cambridge/PTE exam score, or a confirmation from the sending university that the candidate meets the required level.

APPROVAL

Applications take a minimum of 2 weeks to process. Successful applicants will receive a confirmation letter, as well as all the necessary information. Applicants are strongly advised not to make travel or accommodation plans until they have received confirmation that they have a place of study at the University of Arts.

The University of Arts maintains partnerships with many universities and academies worldwide. Through such partnerships, foreign students can come to our faculties on an exchange.

Exchange students must be nominated by one of our partner universities. It is not possible to apply directly for placement. Please contact the International Office at your home institution to find out how to apply. Incoming students are exempt from paying any tuition fees provided that they have been formally nominated by their home institution.
